Frequently asked questions

How does billing work for Pro?

CalorieToday Pro starts with a 3-day free trial, then is billed either monthly at $4.99/mo or annually at $39/yr (a savings of roughly 35% versus paying monthly). A card is required to start the trial, and billing is handled securely through Stripe.

Does the free trial require a credit card?

Yes. Stripe collects your card details when you start the 3-day trial, but you won't be charged until the trial ends. Cancel anytime before then from your account settings and you won't be billed.

Does the free trial include AI plate-photo scanning?

No. The trial covers cloud sync and the full branded food database. AI plate-photo scanning has a real cost per scan, so it's reserved for paying subscribers and unlocks automatically once your trial converts to a paid billing period.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. You can cancel your Pro subscription at any time from your account settings. You'll keep Pro access until the end of your current billing period; we don't offer refunds for partial periods.

What happens to my data if I downgrade?

Your data is never deleted when you downgrade from Pro to Free. Cloud sync simply stops and your device reverts to local-only storage. If you resubscribe later, sync picks back up from where it left off.
